SAUSAGE N’ CHEESE BALLS
You know the good old saying, “It’s as easy as 1, 2, 3. Well, Yes, this recipe consist of 3 ingredients (sausage, cheese and Bisquick). So, you would think it would be a no brainer. But, this is one of those recipes, that people just miss the majority of the time.
Try my recipe, and you will not be disappointed:) So, what makes mine different: The Cheese I use, mixed with the different sausage flavors.
1 (10 oz.) Sharp Crackle Barrel Cheese- shredded
1 (10 oz.) Aged White Crackle Barrel Cheese- shredded
2 Tubes of Sausage (I use one Sage and one Hot)
3 3/4 cups of Bisquick (ONLY ADD THIS AMOUNT)
In a mixing bowl, combine Sausage and Cheese together very well. Get down and dirty and blend together with your hands. Then, add Bisquick and mix well. Roll balls the size of a Silver Dollars. Cook for 12- 15 minutes. Just eyeball these. They need to be slightly brown on top.
Place the remaining balls on parchment paper and put in freezer. Once they are firm I put them in a Ziplock baggie. *I always double this recipe.* These are great to have on hand. Especially, during holiday season when you have guest over.
